Islamabad: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will observe on Tuesday the 58'th birth anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
The main ceremony will be held at the residence of Bhutto in Larkana district. Bhutto's husband President Asif Ali Zardari, who is also co-chairman of the PPP, along with his family will cut a birthday cake in her memory, Online news agency reported citing a statement.
There will be countrywide observance of the recitation of the Quran for the dead. Blood donation would be organised at various camps.
PPP office bearers will donate blood for the armed forces who got injured in the line of duty and in the war against terrorism.
Bhutto was Pakistan's first and only woman prime minister till date. She was in office for two terms 1988-1990 and 1993-1996.
She was assassinated in December 2007, after attending a PPP rally in Rawalpindi, two weeks before the scheduled general election of 2008.
