Moulavi M Nasir Ahmad Kodiyathur led the prayers. In his speech, he said that prayers to God should abound and should be intensified. He also told the faithful to show compassion and love to fellow human beings and to alleviate the pain of those who suffer from lack each month of the year. He said that the underprivileged have a right to the wealth  enjoyed by those who have been blessed with abundance. The faithful from Vazhakala, Palluruthy, Fort Kochi, Muvattupuzha, Irapuram offered prayers.Bidding goodbye to the month of sacrifice,  about 10,000 faithful gathered at the Kaloor Stadium to offer prayers, led by Abdul Majid Swalahi. Relevant problems which surfaced  across the world were discussed. He exhorted the crowd to give a thought to those who do not even have food to break their fast. The prayers that began at 7.45 am concluded at 8.30 am. Basheer Moulavi led the prayers at Marine Drive where many offered prayers and listened to the tenets of the Quran. Young and old , dressed in new clothes exchanged greetings and partook of the delicious feast.
