Indore: Three college girls reportedly affiliated to the BJP's student wing ABVP were arrested on charges of allegedly threatening a principal of a women's college over an eve-teasing issue, in Indore on Friday.
The accused - Shreshta Joshi, Richa Tiwari and Anjali Sharma, all of them ABVP activists' were arrested on Friday and were later released on bond by a local court in Indore, police said.
Around a dozen ABVP activists' protesting against some alleged instances of eve-teasing rushed to the New Government Girls Degree College, principal Manjula Choube's cabin and demanded to take action against the culprits, they said.
The City Superintendent of Police (CSP) Shailendra Singh Chouhan told PTI that some persons were quite aggressive while discussing the eve-teasing instances with the Principal following which she fainted.
She was rushed to the nearby hospital and attended by doctors. Her condition is stable and continued to be hospitalised, Chouhan said.
The college students had created uproar at the institution couple of days earlier also, demanding action against college some peons who were allegedly teasing them.
