Rana Daggubati replaces Abhishek in 'Department'

New Delhi: After making his Bollywood debut alongside Abhishek Bachchan in Dum Maaro Dum, southern actor Rana Daggubati has now replaced the junior Bachchan as the lead in Department, reveals filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.

Varma's project was to feature an ensemble cast, including Abhishek, but there is a change in plan.

"Due to date problems to match combinations with other actors, I am going ahead with Rana Daggubati instead of Abhishek Bachchan in Department," Varma announced on his Twitter page.

The director has earlier worked with Abhishek in Sarkar and Sarkar Raj.
