Raucous cry on gas cylinders

Asking the state government to roll back its decision on cutting down the number of subsidised LPG cylinders, the Residents Apex Council, Ernakulam, took out a protest march at Panampilly Nagar on Wednesday.

The march started from the junction and ended at the Indian Oil Corporation’s office at Panampilly Nagar.

Former MP Sebastian Paul, who inaugurated the march, said that the policies of the state and Central governments have set afire the budget of middle class families. He also added that if the state government is not ready to solve the issue, they will intensify the protest in the future.

Residents Association members, including Hashim Parakal and Kuruvila Mathews participated in the march.
