KOCHI: RLV College, Tripunithura, bagged the first prize in the All-Kerala Drama Skit Competition for the higher secondary and college students organised by Y’s Men International Midwest India Region at Ernakulam Town Hall the other day. Mar Athanasius College, Kothamangalam, got the second prize and Mahatma Gandhi Public School, Ambadimala stood third.The contest saw 10 teams from various districts, selected from about 75 entries competing on the topic ‘Manishada’ (Say no to violence). Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K V Thomas said that the concept of non-violence should be instilled in young minds. Non-violence should be seen as key to the prosperity of the state, he said. The minister gave away the trophies and cash awards of `25,000, `15,000 and `10,000 to the winners.
