Robbers attack four, flee with valuables

BANGALORE:  A gang of ten miscreants robbed an owner of coconut store house and assaulted him and his friends. The incident was reported at Pipeline Road in Sunkadakatte in Kamakshipalya police station limits on Monday night.Coconut merchant Jagadish and his friends Raju, Ranganath and Chikka Thimmaiah have sustained injuries in the attack.According to the police, Jagadish and his friends had gathered in the store house. At around 10.45pm, a gang of about ten robbers, all aged between 20-25 years, entered the store house with machetes, knives and sticks and attacked them. Later, they snatched a cash of Rs. 27,000, a gold ring, a gold chain and a mobile phone, total worth  Rs. 1 lakh, from Jagadish and fled the scene immediately. According to sources the miscreants had come on bikes.  However, their identity has not been recognised by Jagadish or any of his friends. Kamakshipalya police have registered a case and further investigations are on in this regard.
