HYDERABAD: Stating this was the right time to buy houses and sites as the prevailing rates were affordable for middle class families, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy announced on Saturday the commencement of second phase of 100-days programme for beautification of Hyderabad.Addressing the gathering at the inaugural of the two-day exhibition of Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers Association at Hitex on Saturday morning, the chief minister asserted the government was taking all measures for safety of public and their properties and firm action would be taken against miscreants. In spite of small hindrances, Hyderabad is a safe city and progressing faster than any other city in the country, he claimed.Kiran Kumar Reddy said works like development and beautification of roads and parks, electrification and traffic facilities had been recently completed under the first phase of the 100-days programme. Besides, works relating to the 158-km Outer Ring Road would be completed by 2013. He exuded confidence that problems being faced for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project would be solved. Progress in real estate and construction sector was most important to fulfil Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu programme which aims to provide 15 lakh jobs to youth in the next three years, he observed. Works to the tune of Rs. 1,000 crore would be taken up in the second phase of the 100-days programme.
