New Delhi: Two days after six-year-old Divyansh died in the Ryan International School, the initial post-mortem report has revealed that he was drowned to death. The report has further said that the kid died due to asphyxia, and had water in lungs.
The post-mortem report suggests that Divyansh could have struggled, but fell unconscious after falling in the pit and drowned.
The final report is yet to be submitted, even as an AIIMS team is also likely to visit the school and examine the spot. Meanwhile, the sub divisional magistrate of the area also made a visit to the school.
The victim's father has accused the school and its principal of trying to hush up the matter.
He said, "The principal didn't tell us anything, she just asked us to keep quite. The police told us that our son was found dead in a tank. How would a six-year-old boy lift a 20 kg lid?"
"If he was a special needs child, did the school ever inform us of that? Were they not supposed to tell us?" he added.
However, according to the principal, Sandhya Sabu, the child was special who had a tendency of running out from class. "This is a freak accident. Child is hyperactive."
