New Delhi: Samsung has launched a new Power Sharing Cable that lets users charge micro USB devices with a Galaxy phone or tablet. In other words, with this cable, users can transfer power directly from their compatible Samsung device to any micro USB compatible device including a wearable, smartphone, tablet, or a Bluetooth headset. This new cable costs $19.99.
The Samsung devices from which power can be transferred include the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Tab S 10.5, Galaxy Tab S 8.4, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Avant, and the Galaxy Note 4.
Simply plug one end of the cable into a device's micro USB port that you want to charge from and then plug the other end of the cable into the micro USB port of another device you want to charge to. Arrows on the different cable tips designate which way power will flow, either out of a device or in.
Users can also select exactly how much power they would like to transfer from a device to another and monitor transfer progress with the available Power Sharing app (which is downloadable from Samsung Apps/Google Play stores).
