According to the sources, as of now two Kannada films of Sandeep Malani will be screened at the 7 AKKA World conference at GICC in Atlanta, USA.
Sandeep Malani has managed to get an entry for 'SMS 6260' and 'Jo Jo Laali', which would be viewed by the thousand of audiences at the mammoth event.
'Jo Jo Laali' is a story of a single mother, who is a classical dancer, later on she discovers that her 4 years old son born of a love affair has AIDS, transmitted by her. The agony of her heart wrenching loss is portrayed through music and dance and the film ends on a note of positivity with a strong message for the society. 'Jo Jo Laali' stars Kalpana Pandit, Akash Hora and Shrey Tejani, which is produced by House of Pandit productions, while 'SMS 6260' stars Diganth, Janu, Smriti and Kiran and is produced by Shirdi Enterprises Inc. Both the films are produced by the American Production Company. Sandeep Malani, has written the script and also is in the direction.
'SMS 6260' is a film for all age groups between 6 to 60 years. Made in 2006, it is a debut film of Sandeep Malani. The film is produced by Janu who has acted in the lead role of the film. A few portions of the film were shot in USA. It is a 'Kanglish' (Kannada and English mix is Kanglish) film. The film is about today's generation, and tells about the misuse of mobile phones and the consequences that occur due to it. Kiran, Diganth, Smrithi, Dattanna, Vijayalakshmi, Badri is in the cast of this film. Selvam is the cameraman.
The film will be screened on September 1 and 2, at the Georgia International Convention Center.
