Eastbourne: Sania Mirza was beaten 6-3, 6-3 by Tamera Pasek in the final round of her qualifying match of the WTA AEGON International tournament on Tuesday.
Earlier, Sania beat Georgia's Anna Tatishvili 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in a match that almost lasted for almost two hours in the second round of the qualifiers.
Sania and her doubles partner Elena Vesnina start their women's doubles campaign against the Australian pair of Jarmila Gajo-sova and Samantha Stosur.
Sania and Elena were the runners up in the doubles event of the recently concluded French Open.
