Science and Maths workshop kickstarts

BHUBANESWAR: A four-day curriculum-based science and mathematics workshop was kickstarted on Wednesday, at the Regional Science Centre (RSC) here. An initiative of SCERT under School and Mass Education Department, in collaboration with RSC, the workshop will host representatives of high schools from 15 districts in the State. The participants will learn the methods to prepare different mathematical and scientific models and the principle behind them. Around eight models in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics will be made during the event.The participants included 15 Guide teachers and 15 students, including three girls. The students are excited at the prospect of coming home with different scientific concepts during the course of the event. The participants will act as resource persons in their respective districts, sources said.A four-day workshop of elementary level was organised last month at the Regional Science Centre.
