Lokayukta Police has arrested a senior official of the state-run Seed Corporation for allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 in bribe, a senior officer said today. Acting on a tip-off, the Lokayukta Police last night caught branch manager Vijay Bahadur Singh red-handed when he was accepting the sum from complainant, identified as Rajkishore, for releasing his payment for the work done for the Seed Corporation of India, said DSP Muadhuresh Pachouri.

Singh had sought Rs 10,000 out of the total payment of Rs 63,000 which was due to Rajkishore. A case has been registered against Singh under Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigations are on.
