HYDERABAD: Even as the Telangana Congress leaders were preparing to resign on Monday to bring pressure on the party high command to carve out a separate Telangana state, Seemandhra leaders are getting ready to prevail upon the party leadership not to act in haste. The Seemandhra leaders have already sought time from the prime minister either on July 5 or 6. They are keen on making a representation to Delhi that under no circumstances the party should yield to pressure tactics of the Telangana leaders.Seemandhra ministers N Raghuveera Reddy, Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, S Sailajanath and Danam Nagender (who belongs to Hyderabad but does not want division of the state) met PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana who himself is a minister hailing from Vizianagaram district and made their point clear to him. After the meeting, Sailajanath said the Seemandhra leaders would visit Delhi and that they were very firm that the state should not be divided. Asked about the resignation threat of Telangana people's representatives, Sailajanath said he would not comment on it. "The party would take care of it," he said. Danam Nagender said the party’s decision is acceptable to him.
