The department of business administration of the D G Vaishnav College conducted a regional seminar on ‘Entrepreneurial Development’, on October 6.
Chief guest Prasad Jeyapathy, CEO of AB Tours and Travels, in his address emphasised on consistency and persistence in entrepreneurship development.
Around 200 students from 15 colleges in and around Chennai participated and presented papers on topics such as reach and impact of micro finance, classification of entrepreneurs, factors influencing entrepreneur, methods of project appraisal, abolition of child labour through entrepreneurship, etc.
Secretary P Haridas and principal S Narasimhan appreciated the initiative taken by the students.
A interactive session on entrepreneurship was also held between the students and the chief guest.
Head of the department J P Jaideep, in his valedictory speech, thanked the management and the seminar coordinator K Rao Prashanth Jyoty (assistant professor).
