BANGALORE: KGF MLA Y Sampangi who attended court proceedings did not expected his arrest for violating the conditions of bail he is enjoying. The Lokayukta Special Court heard the case on Friday morning and allowed the complainant Farooq to submit his affidavit. Farooq said that he was threatened by the the MLA and his men. The court considered this and posted the case to post lunch session.Judge N K Sudheendra Rao heard the arguments of both sides — Chandrashekhar the counsel for Sampangi and Pramod Chandra, the public prosecutor. The judge cancelled Sampangi’s bail and remanded him in judicial custody till the statements of the two witnesses to be recorded in the court and posted the case till Saturday.This decision of the court came at about 4.20 pm and Sampangi was virtually speechless. He waited in the court hall for an hour as the Lokayukta police had some procedures, such as issuing body warrant and then took him in their custody. He was finding it difficult to smile when he was taken to Parappana Agrahara in a Maruthi van.Sampangi joins B S Yeddyurappa, Krishnaiah Setty, Katta Subramanya Naidu and Janardhana Reddy who are also under judicial custody.
