HYDERABAD: As the deadline fixed by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (JAC) will end on Saturday, the Telangana Telugu Desam Forum (TTDF) is all set to corner the Congress MPs and MLAs for the delay in Telangana state becoming a reality. The TTDF will come out with a programme to expose the Congress’ duplicity. TTDF is of the opinion that the Congress MPs and MLAs will not honour the deadline fixed by the TJAC to submit their resignations. TTDF is likely to announce its own deadline and invite elected representatives of all the parties to submit their resignations. TTDF convener E Dayakar Rao has already declared that TDP MLAs are ready to quit their posts if the Congress leaders do the same. “We are ready to resign to create a constitutional crisis. We are not here for another round of by-elections,” TDP MLA M Narasimhulu said.Meanwhile, the war of words between the TTDF and suspended leader and MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy continued on Friday too. While Nagam announced that he would observe a two-day fast on July 3 and 4 near Indira Park asking all political parties to unite on a common platform and wage a united battle for Telangana, TDP MLAs challenged him to resign first as MLA. “We too are ready for an apolitical movement. But Nagam should resign as TDP MLA first to prove his sincerity,” TDP MLA D Anasuya said. On Nagam’s criticism that the TDP was appointing in-charges only for Assembly constituencies represented by MLAs fighting for Telangana, Narasimhulu said that TDP would make its own arrangements to sustain the party and save its cadre. “Nagam has been suspended from the party and why should he poke his nose in the internal matters of the party?” he asked.Nagam was a hero when he was in the TDP but became a zero after his suspension, Narasimhulu said and alleged that Nagam’s Telangana Nagara meetings were funded by other parties.
