'Terror call on Sonia false alarm', cops take on CRPF
J&K police rubbish CRPF's claims that Sonia Gandhi was a terror target.

New Delhi: The Jammu and Kashmir police in Doda on Saturday rubbished the CRPF's claims of having busted a militant hideout in Baderwah ahead of Sonia Gandhi's visit on Friday.

The police also said they will start an inquiry into the CRPF claim. The 113 Batallion of the CRPF claimed to have busted a terrorist hideout in the Chinoot Forests, from where 4 kg of RDX, grenades, wireless set and ammunition were recovered.

The CRPF claimed it was a Lashkar-e-Toiba hideout, located about 1.5 kms away from the venue of Sonia Gandhi's rally.

The Doda police till late evening denied all reports or even being informed by the CRPF about the incident and no arrests were made.

The AICC president, along with the Home Minister and senior Congress leaders, had to cancel their visit later when bad weather in snow-affected areas forced the helicopter to return to Srinagar.
