Terrorists Abduct Two Territorial Army Jawans In J&K's Anantnag, One Returns; Search Operation On
Two Territorial Army jawans were abducted in the forest area of Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, but one managed to escape. A search operation is underway for the missing jawan.

Two jawans of the Territorial Army were abducted in Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI quoted sources as saying. According to the report, the two jawans were abducted in the forest area of Anantnag.

However, one of the jawans later managed to come back.

A search operation was launched in the area to search for the missing jawan.

On October 5, two terrorists were killed as security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara, news agency PTI quoted the Indian Army as saying.

“Two terrorists have been eliminated by the security forces in the ongoing operation,” the Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said.

The Corps had earlier in a post on X said that a gun battle ensued when troops spotted suspicious activity in Kupwara’s Gugaldhar.

The Army also said it discovered war-like stores from the encounter zone.
