New Delhi: Tiger Woods kept his emotions tightly in check for most of the last day, but when he finally won the British Open Championship, he could hold them in anymore.
Life is not easy for Tiger Woods as there is so much to do from making putts, winning tournaments, attending press conferences and endorsing products.
Woods also drives cars at a high speed.
After all, its not everyday that a youngster starts his career by winning the Masters with a record aggregate of 18-under.
Tiger Woods did that in 1997. And his victory margin of 12 shots on Sunday in the British Open is the biggest in the tournament's history.
He has so far won 11 majors with four masters, two US Open, three British Open and two PGA championships in his kitty.
No wonder he is second to only the great Jack Nicklaus on the all time winners's list.
Woods has also been through lean spells. Be it the 1998 season or the 2004 season, he has made strong comebacks by working on his swing each time he has been down and out.
But this year has been different. First the death of his father Earl because of cancer on May 3 to missing his first Major cut at the US Open just 37 days back, Woods has taken it all in his stride with a smile.
Strange as it may seem but Woods now has three British Open titles, the same as Jack Nicklaus.
And incidentally the first major that Nicklaus won after his father died was the 1970 British Open.
After winning the British Open, Tiger is back at his roaring best and is perhaps the only one with a realistic chance of overtaking Nicklaus's record of 18 major titles.
