Time given to implement RTE Act

BANGALORE: A division bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice Ashok B Hinchigeri disposed of a petition seeking the implementation of Right To Education (RTE) Act after the State Government sought time to implement the Act.The bench was hearing a petition filed by Mary Sushila, a retired teacher and Mohammed Yunus challenging the delay in implementing and notifying the RTE rules in the state.The court granted two months time to the government to implement the Act.The petitioner had alleged that the State Government was showing a callous attitude to implement the RTE Act.
