NELLORE: The police registered a case against a traffic constable, A Umamheswara Rao on the charges of manhandling, a retired BSF official. The case was registered in the Four Town police station under section 351 for wrongful detention and manhandling of retired BSF DSP K Ramana Rao on Monday evening. According to the police, an argument ensued between Ramana Rao and Umamaheswara Rao when the former requested the latter to remove the motorcycle parked on the footpath as it was hindering the movement of people walking on the footpath.Ramana Rao who was on his way to pick up his 9- year-old granddaughter from school found the traffic constable sitting on the motorcycle parked on the pavement and asked him to remove the vehicle. Instead of removing his two wheeler, the constable allegedly abused the retired DSP. Meanwhile, talking to mediapersons, K Chandra wife of Ramana Rao said though her husband showed his ID card to the constable he continued to manhandle him using filthy language.
