TTD to offer free meals to trekkers

TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board chairman Kanumuri Bapi Raju on Wednesday inaugurated free meals at Pathanjali gardens for pilgrims trekking Tirumala Hills from Alipiri.Speaking on the occasion, Bapi Raju said in view of the increasing number of pilgrims preferring to trek the Seven Hills, the TTD has decided to provide food to the trekkers under its Nityannaprasadam scheme.He directed the engineering officials to construct shelters and make seating arrangements so that the pilgrims can relax and have food. The chairman also directed the officials to construct a stateoftheart kitchen in the area for preparation of food.
