HYDERABAD: The Telangana Telugu Desam Forum will meet here at 11 am on Sunday to chalk out its future course of action. Its leaders called on party chief N Chandrababu Naidu at his residence here on Saturday and discussed the situation in the wake of Union home minister P Chidambaram’s statement in the Lok Sabha on Friday.“We discussed the matter with Naidu. He directed us to go our own way. We are for Telangana state and plan our agitation accordingly,” TTDF convener E Dayakar Rao told Express.According to sources, TTDF leaders wanted Naidu to issue a statement on Chidambaram’s stand on Telangana and Naidu agreed to do so.TTDP leaders said Chidambaram was trying to create a further rift among Telugu people by asking them to resolve the problem locally. “The Centre took the opinions of a cross-section of people and the responsibility of finding a solution lies with the Centre,” a leader said.Though the TDP thinks that the Centre is not willing to carve out a separate Telangana state, the party remains committed to its Mahanadu resolution which spoke in favour of Telangana. It has no immediate plans either to review its 2008 Politburo resolution to support the democratic process need for granting statehood to Telangana.
