Two Bengal Electricians Build Mini Fridge Using Old Compressor In Rs 4500
Everything found inside typical market refrigerators was also included in this mini fridge.

Two electricians named Rahul and Milon from Bengal’s Nadia district have manufactured a mini refrigerator at a cost of just Rs 4500. They did this to combat extreme heat during summer. Each unit can store about 25 litres of water and can cool it up in just 10 minutes. Cold water is always in demand during hot weather. In the intense summer heat, people who find themselves outdoors are unsatisfied with water stored in bottles that have warmed due to high temperatures. They resort to buying chilled water from the market. This challenge isn’t limited to commuters or daily train travellers. Rahul and Milon struggled with the heat in their shop.

Throughout the day, their reliance was solely on refrigerated water to cope with the heat. The water brought from home was heating up due to exposure to the sun. Consequently, they decided they needed to take action. They lacked the capability to afford refrigerators from the market for their shop.

Due to this reason, using an old compressor found lying around in the shop, the two friends took it upon themselves; within 20 days, they built a refrigerator. Everything found inside typical market refrigerators was also included in theirs. This mini fridge stands at a height of 28 inches and a width of 18 inches. It automatically shuts off the electricity connection to cool down every 10 minutes, claiming that it consumes very little electricity, according to its creator, professional electrician Rahul Mandal.

Rahul further explains, “All the refrigerators available in the market are significantly more expensive. Not everyone has enough space in their homes to keep a refrigerator. Due to its small size, this refrigerator can be placed in any corner of the house. Because it is lightweight, it can be easily moved wherever desired. We made this refrigerator initially, and now we have a desire to create even more advanced refrigerators in the future.”
