US consulate building at Gachibowli

HYDERABAD: The state government on Friday signed an agreement with the US consulate for construction of a permanent building to house the US consulate general of Hyderabad in Gachibowli spread over 12 acres.Hyderabad US consul general Katherine Dhanani, APIIC director B R Meena, principal secretary R M Gonela and chief secretary S V Prasad signed the agreement.Katherine said, “As president Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have said, the relationship between India and United States will be a defining partnership in the 21st century. We see our presence in Hyderabad as a strong sign of this enduring friendship.”
