Some residents of Srinagar in Uttarakhand have identified the three-year-old little girl as Joyti.

Dehradun: A baby girl called Pari who was found alone during rescue work following massive floods and landslides in Uttarakhand has been identified. Some residents of Srinagar in Uttarakhand have identified the three-year-old little girl as Jyoti.

According to them after seeing Pari on TV, they recognised her as Jyoti who had lived with her father and grandmother near the Alaknanda River in Srinagar. After heavy rains, her father and grandmotehr tried to move to a safer place. But they were separated from Joyti and since then no one has seen them.

She was found injured in Kaundiyala between Devprayag and Rishikesh by some people. As no one could identify her, so she was taken to a relief camp.

She is admitted in Doon Hospital in Dehradun and undergoing treatment. According to a local man Shurveer Singh Jyoti is the daughter of a sage and is her neighbour. But now there is no news of her family members and there is no one to take care of her.

Even though more than three weeks after the devastating floods, rescue operations in Uttarakhand may have come to an end but the search continues for thousands of people who are still missing. Among them are at least 1200 children.
