Wadali brothers injured in accident

New Delhi: Renowned Punjabi sufi singers Wadali brothers met with an accident early on Monday morning at Manawala near Amritsar.

According to reports, Pooran Chand Wadali escaped with minor injuries and younger brother Pyaare Lal Wadali will have to undergo surgery for a fractured jaw.

The accident took place on the Amritsar-Jalandhar highway when the Wadali brothers were on their way to Dehradun for a performance.

The accident took place in the early morning hours when the driver of the van failed to see a truck parked on the road and hit it from the back.

While Pyaare Lal Wadali is scheduled for an operation on Monday, Pooran Chand, who was awarded the Padma Shri last year, assured fans and well-wishers that they were doing fine.
