A senior IAS officer, Adityavardhan Singh, tragically drowned in River Ganga near Bilhaur in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao on August 31. Despite extensive search efforts by the NDRF and water police teams, no trace of Singh has been found as of now. Reports indicate that Singh, who was taking a bath in the river, went missing. Initial attempts by local divers to recover him were delayed by a demand for Rs 10,000, which was only met after an online payment. Unfortunately, even after entering the water, the divers were unable to locate him.
