Washington: Could ‘Borat’ have accidentally caused ex-Baywatch star Pamela Anderson to split from hubby-of-four-months Kid Rock while trying to make Kazakhstan a glorious nation?
Borat Sagdiyev, the spoof Kazak reporter, is now being cited as the reason behind the couple’s divorce.
According to sources, Kid Rock was not happy with the way Pamela presented herself in the fake documentary “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.”
Rock reportedly flew into a rage when he saw Borat’s advances during a screening of the hit film. In the flick, spoof reporter Borat, played by comic Sacha Baron Cohen, turns his trip to the US into a quest to get his dream girl Pamela.
"Bob started screaming at Pam, saying she had humiliated herself and telling her, 'You're nothing but a whore! You're a slut! How could you do that movie?' -- in front of everyone. It was very embarrassing,” Sfgate.com quoted a friend as saying.
The outburst caught Pamela completely off guard. She had enjoyed doing the film and Kid Rock would have the sense of humour to appreciate the spoof.
“Ever since that night, it has been icicles between them," the source added.
