Seoul: World number one Lee Westwood will join South Africa's Ernie Els and Ian Poulter of England at the 2.2 million euros Ballantine's Championship in South Korea in April, the Asian Tour said on Monday.

South Korean Yang Yong-eun, Asia's first major winner, will also play in the April 28-May 1 tournament, which is co-sanctioned by the European Tour.

England's Westwood will return to Korea for the first time since playing in the event on Jeju Island in 2009. The tournament is being played at the Blackstone Resort in Incheon for the next three years.

"I enjoyed a fantastic 2010 and becoming the world number one has been the fulfillment of a life-long ambition," said the 37-year-old.

"Obviously I'm very keen to maintain the momentum in 2011 so I'm aiming to put on a great display for the Korean fans."
