New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's latest film 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' has set the cash registers ringing at the box office. Within seven days of the release of the film, it was able to enter the elite Rs 100 crore club.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#YehJawaaniHaiDeewani collects 107.61 cr in Week 1. Fri 19.45 cr, Sat 20.16 cr, Sun 22.5 cr, Mon 13 cr, Tue 12 cr, Wed 11 cr, Thu 9.5 cr."
'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is Ranbir Kapoor's second film to enter the Rs 100 crore club after 'Barfi!'. Despite much buzz about the chemistry between former lovers Ranbir and Deepika, the film is unable to break the box office record of Salman Khan's 'Ek Tha Tiger'.
'Ek Tha Tiger' had managed to collect Rs 100 crore within five day of its release. Such is the fan following of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, that the film had earned Rs 32 on its opening day, while Ranbir and Deepika's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' could only collect Rs 19 crore on the first day.
Though, 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' is slowly climbing up the ladder in terms of box office but it would still need some time to break the other box office records.
