New Delhi: Yogesh is back on big screen after his last venture 'Alemari' opposite Radhika Pandit. The new flick, 'Bangari', which stars Yogesh and Ragini Dwivedi in the lead roles has roused much curiosity amongst audiences. The lead actors and director interacted with City Express and spoke in length about the film and shared their experiences while shooting.
The film is about a villager (Yogesh), who is ill-treated by others in his village. Speaking about the film, Yogesh said, "This project has provided me with a platform to improve my acting skills. It is the result of good team work and we are confident that the audience will love the film. The story is realistic and one can easily relate to the characters."
Ragini said that the director, Ma Chandru has experimented with different ideas and techniques. She said, "I play the role of a girl named Paddu, who is stubborn and difficult to deal with. Since Yogesh and I have been friends for a very long time, we believe that our on-screen chemistry will be portrayed well."
The movie is shot in various locations like Udupi, KGF, Somanahalli and Kanakapura. The film has over six songs and five fight sequences, out of which three songs and three fight scenes have already been shot.
The fight sequences are directed by Mass Maada and the songs have been choreographed by Kambi Raju, who has yet again proved his mettle as an assistant choreographer for the past 15 years in the Kannada film industry.
Ma Chandru who has earlier worked as an assistant director in the Tamil film industry has taken a step forward by directing 'Bangari'.
Sharing his experiences while shooting the film, Ma Chandru said, "While shooting at St Mary's Island in Udupi, Ragini caught water infection but both the actors were extremely co-operative and completed the shoot on time despite health issues."
AM Neel and Jayanth Kaikini have penned down the lyrics for the songs in this film.
