In 2013, Prem Singh Bajor of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ramesh Chand Khandelwal of INC by a margin of 34,202 votes which was 22.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 45.3% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Ramesh Chand Khandelwal of INC won this seat beating Prem Singh Bajor of BJP by a margin of 22,659 votes which was 18.32% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 51.82% in the seat.
