As for the fans of the animated franchise, Inside Out 2 continues the imaginative journey inside the mind of 13-year-old Riley. This time, the story deals with some more new and intense emotions that disturb the harmony in her emotion control headquarters. Negative emotions like anxiety, embarrassment, boredom, and envy enter Riley’s mind, causing chaos in her previously peaceful life, reports Allkpop.
In this sequel, Lee Dong Wook lends his voice to a character named Lance. Lance reportedly is a video game character from Riley’s childhood. It is someone she adored so much that his face is etched into the ‘Favorite Faces Mountain’ in her mind.
Lance’s interactions with the core emotions which are Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear – make up the main plot of the film. These core emotions also get trapped in glass jars by the new emotions that have taken over. Despite his flawless appearance, Lance has some quirky, clumsy traits that audiences will find out in the film.
Fans are eager to see how his unique voice and talent will bring the character of Lance to life. The film, featuring Lee Dong Wook’s special cameo, is set for release on June 14, 2024.
