BTS' Agency Requests Fans To Refrain From Visiting Site For J-Hope's Military Discharge
J-Hope will be the second member of BTS to be discharged from the military, following the return of the group's eldest member, Jin.

J-Hope is set to be discharged soon from the South Korean military, and his fans can’t wait. His agency, BigHit Music, recently confirmed that the idol will be completing his service shortly. In their announcement, the agency also shared plans for the day while urging fans to refrain from visiting the site to avoid overcrowding.

“Discharge day is a day shared by service members. No special events are planned on the day of J-Hope’s discharge. To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,” BigHit said in the release. The agency also expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering love and support, adding that the company will put utmost effort into supporting the artists.

With the excitement building up among fans, the K-pop idol appears to be just a few days away from completing his military service. Already through 99 per cent of his service period, ARMYs have begun the countdown for his return.

Jung Ho Seok, aka J-Hope, enlisted in the South Korean military in April 2023. Following his basic training, he was assigned to serve as an assistant training instructor with the 36th Infantry Division in Wonju. Despite being occupied with his duties, his creativity didn’t take a backseat. Earlier this year, BigHit Music released a six-part docuseries titled HOPE ON THE STREET, showing his artistic roots and dancing background.

It is worth mentioning that J-Hope is the second member of the group to be discharged after Jin. Last month, he took to Weverse to mark the 30-day countdown and wrote, “One month, exactly 30 days left to go! All that time flew by, but I’m already reminiscing about it, I guess I grew pretty fond of everything here. I’ve been packing, giving away some of the gear I came to cherish, and my locker’s starting to look a bit empty.”

He is scheduled to return on October 17. Others like RM, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook and Taehyung are expected to get discharged next year.
