BTS: J-Hope Prepares For Military Discharge, Admits Initially He Was 'Nervous and Tensed' But...

BTS member J-Hope will be discharged from the military next month. Ahead of his discharge date, the rapper logged into Weverse and shared a heartwarming letter with ARMY. The rapper, formally known as Jung Hoseok, revealed he has begun packing his things and reflected about his initial days of training. He admitted he was nervous at the time but looking back, he has begun cherishing these memories.

“One month, exactly 30 days left to go! All that time flew by but I’m already reminiscing about it, guess I grew pretty fond of everything here. I’ve been packing, giving away some of the gear i came to cherish, and my locker’s starting to look a bit empty and that’s when the feeling really starts to sink in,” he said, as translated by @btstranslation7 on X.

“I look back and it all comes flooding back, those early days where I was nervous and tense and didn’t know what I know now.. that everything would be just fine. (even the sound of the locker screeching open was triggering),” he shared. “These days, i look at the new recruits who are just starting out and i can read their minds. reminds me a bit of myself so i find it kinda cute. sigh.. i can’t stop my emotions from taking over, these strong Emotions with a capital E.. well i’m proud of myself! i made it!”

Concluding his letter, Hobi wrote, “I say all this and i’m writing this from my bed haha. i really am one of those* ‘so-close-to-being-discharged-sergeants’. having the holiday (chuseok) off is pretty nice!! a full day to properly rest! alright that was a lot but i wanted to come on here and say i hope you spent a joyful chuseok~ isn’t it crazy it happens to be the day i start the 30day countdown?? while everyone’s peacefully winding down with family, the butterfly in my heart is fluttering around to no end. sure it’s a warmer chuseok than usual but!! wishing your families an abundant harvest season. hoping fall will come soon so i can ‘keep an eye on those leaves’.”

The BTS member signed off his letter by saying, “There we have it, i will see you all a month from today. Wishing everyone the best of health until then..! salute AMILY ️.” He also shared a selca with fans. Jungkook replied to his post. He said, “You worked hard jjya-hope.”

J-Hope will be the second member to have completed their military training. Earlier this year, Jin was discharged.
