BTS Star Jimin's Album Muse Tops iTunes Charts, New Song Who Leads In 112 Countries
BTS’ Jimin newest album Muse is receiving enthusiastic support from fans worldwide and its song Who claimed the number one spot on iTunes.

Jimin, who is currently serving his country after enlisting in the military in December 2023, has still a year left before he returns. Despite his service and remaining inactive, the BTS star is making headlines with his new album, Muse. Released on July 19, the much awaited project is receiving enthusiastic support from fans worldwide. Among the album’s tracks, Who has instantly become a fan favourite and it took over the top spot in the iTunes charts. Within just 24 hours, it claimed the number one spot in 112 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and Italy.

Other than Who, several more tracks from the album made it to the top 10 on the iTunes charts. Be Mine took 5th position, while Slow Dance featuring Sofia Carson secured the number 6 spot, Rebirth landed at 7 and Interlude: Showtime took over the 10th position. Interestingly, the album itself topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in at least 87 regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France.

Alongside the hit title track Who, Jimin’s album Muse also features the pre-released track Smeraldo Garden Marching Band and Closer Than This. Jimin made his solo debut in 2018 with the single Promise. In 2023, he made history as the first South Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 with his song, Like Crazy. His impressive record includes several other chart-toppers, such as Closer Than This, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, Angel Part 1, Set Me Free Part 2, Vibe, With You and Filter.

According to Forbes, Muse has knocked Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady from its top position on iTunes, where it was dominating the platform for days. Jimin’s album now holds the number one spot, while Eminem’s album has slipped to third place. Meanwhile, Koe Wetzel’s newest album, 9 Lives, is currently in the second position. Despite losing the iTunes top spot, Eminem is expected to take the lead on the Billboard 200 in the coming days.

Amid the exciting news, Jimin is set to appear alongside his fellow BTS member Jungkook in a new travel reality show called Are You Sure. In the upcoming series, the two BTS stars will explore various destinations across South Korea, USA and Japan. Fans will be able to watch the first two episodes on August 8, while new episodes are scheduled to release every Thursday.
