Daesung Opens Up About Life After BigBang And His First Live Tour In 7 Years
BigBang's Daesung shared excitement about his first live tour 'D's Is Me' for which he returned to stage after a seven-year hiatus.

BigBang member Daesung is currently enjoying his time among fans with his ‘D’s Is Me’ tour, for which he returned to stage after a seven-year hiatus. In a recent interview with Allure Korea, the singer shared his excitement about his first live tour, claiming that he has put his heart and soul into the performances. Daesung has a clear vision for what he hopes to achieve during this tour. The K-pop idol further discussed his journey and life after taking a break from group activities. Daesung also spoke about his YouTube channel, for which he initially felt concerned, as the platform is already crowded, but now he’s satisfied with his channel’s progress.

Speaking about spending the majority of his life in the boy band and being a successful singer, the South Korean sensation revealed, “These days, there are a lot of people who say, ‘I was a VIP,’ and it makes me realize how much time I’ve been active. At the same time, I feel proud. It’s amazing that VIPs are able to grow well, become part of society, and collaborate. Actually, 18 years doesn’t feel real.”

Further, Daesung shared his tour experience and said, “I think performing is the most valuable thing a singer can do. There is a lot of stress when preparing, but there is nothing that can replace the happiness of starting and performing on stage.”

The singer mentioned that he pays close attention to his feelings after finishing one song and transitioning to the next during his performances. He aims for a natural progression. Sometimes, he starts with an exciting rhythm in the first two songs, while other times he begins with ballads to set a different mood. Interestingly, Daesung claimed that he enjoys the creative process, which allows him to connect with his audience in a unique way.

Daesung credited his boy band, BigBang for making him fall in love with live performances. He explained, “We weren’t a group that worked hard on broadcast appearances, and in terms of frequency, the tour probably took a bigger part. I was able to naturally experience the realism and liveliness of the performance, and I think that experience fascinated me. It’s the most fun.”

Sharing his YouTube journey, Daesung asserted that he was initially concerned when he first received the offer. He felt worried because the platform is saturated, with many established channels. The singer even tried to discourage the team, but now, he’s grateful that they trusted him and moved forward with the project.

Talking about his future, the K-pop idol noted that he is already in a happy place and hopes to continue living within the boundaries he has built so far. He desired that what he was doing now might lead to something better in the future. However, he highlighted that even if it didn’t, he wouldn’t feel sad. Daesung’s primary goal is to continue singing for a long time and consistently learn and improve.
