An astrologer shared that Akshaya Tritiya is the perfect time to start a new business and do shopping.

Akshaya Tritiya, one of the most significant Hindu festivals, is observed on Shukla Paksha Tritiya i.e. the third day during the bright half of the Vaishakha lunar month in the Hindu calendar. This year, it will be observed on May 10, Friday.

On this day, Hindus from across the country purchase gold and silver. In an interaction with Local 18 Jharkhand, Pandit Nand Kishore Mudgal talked about the things that can be bought apart from gold and silver. Nand Kishore is one of the most revered astrologers in the Mudgal Astrology Centre in Pagal Baba Ashram, Deoghar, Jharkhand.

As per the astrologer, the devotees can also buy land, buildings, flats, vehicles, etc. According to him, purchasing these things is said to bring luck, wealth, and prosperity to the homes of the devotees. He also said that the people attain the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. As per religious beliefs, Goddess Lakshmi (or Laksmi) is the Hindu goddess of wealth, good fortune, youth, and beauty.

The astrologer also shared that Akshaya Tritiya is the perfect time to start a new business and do shopping. He said that another coincidence happening on this day is Akshaya Tritiya coinciding with the Rohini Nakshatra. According to religious beliefs, Rohini Nakshatra is ruled by the Moon and is associated with abundance, fertility and growth. It is said to be the favourite nakshatra of Lord Krishna and is linked with love, beauty and creativity. Rohini Nakshatra will be observed at morning 10:54 am and all the important purchases can be done at this time.

Some mistakes should be avoided on this auspicious day. They are-

it is imperative to avoid buying any plastic, aluminium, or steel utensils or goods, as they are believed to be influenced by Rahu, which may bring negativity into the household. It is important to exercise caution and avoid any inadvertent purchases of such items on this day.

Following traditional customs, lending or borrowing money on the day of Akshaya Tritiya is considered inauspicious. It is believed to divert the wealth and prosperity of the household towards someone else.
