The festival of Akshaya Tritiya is celebrated on the third day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Vishakha. According to Hindu Dharma, Akshaya Tritiya is considered an auspicious and favourable occasion for starting new work and buying gold and silver. Worshiping Goddess Lakshmi and donating on this date is considered auspicious. Apart from gold and silver, you can buy many other things on this day, which can benefit you.

Bhopal resident astrologer Pandit Yogesh Chaure explained the importance of Goddess Lakshmi Mantra while purchasing items on this day. This year, Akshaya Tritiya is going to be celebrated on May 10. Goddess Lakshmi is pleased with the gold and silver purchase on this day.

Apart from buying gold and silver jewellery, you can also purchase land, buildings, vehicles, utensils, machinery items, furniture, clothes etc. On this day, worshipping Goddess Lakshmi as per the rituals increases the chances of gaining wealth. Purchasing pots, utensils, precious metals, cowries, barley, Shriyantra, Dakshinavarti conch and machines in honour of Goddess Lakshmi is also beneficial. Devotees must get cowries and offer it on the feet of Goddess Lakshmi. On the second day, store some of it on a red cloth and keep that cloth in a safe.

On this day, mantras are also chanted to please Goddess Lakshmi.
