Actress Huma Qureshi dazzled in a Rina Dhaka ensemble as the star walked the ramp for the designer on the final day of FDCI India Couture Week 2017.
Shimmering in a gold and silver ensemble, Bollywood diva Huma Qureshi looked ethereal. The star's outfit was paired with Narayan Jewellers timeless scintillating necklace defining opulence with a refined sophistication. A statement of elegance and panache, the incredible diamond encrusted neckpiece consisted of a choker necklace, attached to another cascading multi- layered neckpiece.
Talking about the outfit that Huma wore on the ramp, the Badlapur actress said in an exclusive interaction with News18.com, "The outfit that she (Rina) has made for me is so stunning. It's so muted with silver and gold and lovely work, sheer fabric, it's got so much drama going on, which is a little bit like me. So, I kind of relate to the outfit I wore with beautiful jewellery."
The actress added that the outfit she wore on the ramp 'absolutely' resonated with her personal style.
"I think she (Rina Dhaka) understands the Indian body so well with the drapes and all the work and everything, it's brings out the best of her," the Gangs of Wasseypur actress said about designer Rina Dhaka and her collection to News18.com.
Since Huma looked stunning in the couture piece, we asked what would her wedding celebrations be like, to which she replied, "I want to elope and get married. I think as an actor you wear so many of these beautiful clothes and jewellery that I am tired. I want to wear shorts and a t-shirt, no makeup, my hair in a bun. It will be so much fun. I will just throw a big party somewhere."
Talking about #HonorTheSmile and elaborating about her collection, the designer told News18.com, "My collection, my muse Huma Qureshi, she created this story around metallics for us. We used bijoux concept of jewellery and we brought it out via the medium of clothing, sets, fashion and through conscious and heart by using HonorTheSmile as our campaign."
Rina's couture line #HonorTheSmile featured voluminous pieces boldly parading the drama and opulence of royalty. Dripping necklaces, wondrous centre-pieces, oversized gems and entangled motifs showcased the unending, awespiring, magnanimous and complex persona of our ideal woman.
The silhouettes were graceful in their softness and sensuality, the relevant half of yin and yang. The elements of royal Kundan jewellery, lending a glow into the metallic, especially created liquid golds, silvers, peuters to give a lightness to the clothing.
The highlight of the grand show was of course the beautiful little girls from Smile Foundation holding the models' hands and sashaying down the runway with innocent smiles on their faces as they posed for the shutterbugs.
"Basically all that money can buy or create, because this is a very high cost events to create for 15 minutes, so when you support them with something truly noble and when corporate like Honor, they come together with Smile Foundation or other such causes, it's just all of us feel good about it," said the designer.
