Bala Ramayanam: Noted filmmaker Gunasekhar’s maiden directorial venture, ‘Bala Ramayanam’ was released in 1996 and bagged the National award for best children’s film. Touted as a mythological drama, it saw a 13-year-old NTR Jr essay the role of lord Rama with cherubic grace.

Student No 1: Touted as a musical drama. ‘Student No 1’ is regarded as the film which propelled NTR Jr to stardom and established him as a household name. Directed by SS Rajamouli, it revolved around the exploits of a law student. In the film, NTR junior sported a clean shaven moustache less look. Dhammu: A commercial success, ‘Dhammu’ is perhaps best remembered for its hard hitting fight sequences as well as intense dialogues.
