One should start the day by taking a bath and offering water to the Sun God in the morning. The astrologer mentioned that after bathing one should take water and flowers and make a vow to observe the fast and perform the puja for Parivartini Ekadashi. After this, you can start the puja. First, adorn an idol of Lord Vishnu or Lord Vamana with flowers, garland, sandalwood, yellow clothes and sacred thread. Then offer yellow flowers, turmeric, rice, roli (red powder), tulsi leaves, jaggery, fruits, and other food offerings to the deity. Before performing these rituals, you can bathe the idol with Gangajal and Panchamrit. After offering all the items, read out the sacred text and conclude the worship with Aarti. On the next day, bathe and then end your fast with Parivartini Ekadashi Parana.
