Dandruff is the most common problem that all of us face. These pesky flakes get more aggravated in winter, as they make our scalps dry. When there is an excessive amount of dandruff, then while combing, it can fall on your clothes and it can be embarrassing.

Dandruff can be caused due to not keeping your scalp clean, and not washing the hair properly. If you are also facing these problems of itchy scalp and redness, Dr Dixa Bhasvar, an Ayurveda specialist, posted a video on her Instagram related to the dandruff issue.

According to Dr Dixa Bhasvar, dandruff is mainly caused by the fungus Malassezia globosa, which breaks down any excess oil on the scalp and irritates our skin. To help you get rid of the dandruff, the doctor has suggested an anti-dandruff hair mask which will make your hair follicles strong, reduce hair fall and prevent dandruff. This is a quick easy mask that can made at home. She also wrote in her post that using this mask twice a week for three weeks to get rid of dandruff.

How to Make This Anti-Dandruff Mask-

Ingredients-

1 tbsp curd

5-7 crushed curry leave

2-inch ginger crushed

How to Apply

Take a bowl and add all the ingredients.

Mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes and after 30 minutes apply this mask on the scalp.

Keep the mask for 30 minutes and then wash it with an ayurveda shampoo.

Experts say that applying this mask will help you to get smooth, shiny and frizz-free hair. It will also make your itchy scalp soothe due to the curd’s anti-inflammatory properties. Curd acts as a natural conditioner which allows the hair to breathe.
