Ragini MMS:
The found footage-horror release is inspired from the experiences of a woman named Deepti from Delhi. It is made under the direction of Pavan Kirpalani who is also credited as its story and screenplay writer. The cast includes Rajkummar Rao and Kainaz Motivala as the leads. It is produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amit Kapoor and Sidhartha M Jain. The film can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Sector 36:
This Vikrant Massey-starrer release took inspiration from the 2006 serial murders in Noida. It is helmed by Aditya Nimbalkar while Bodhayan Roychaudhury has written the story. The cast also includes Deepak Dobriyal and Akash Khurana. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under the banners of Maddock Films and Jio Studios. Sector 36 is available to stream on Netflix.
Munjya:
The 2024 horror release is based on the ancient Maharashtrian folk tales. The film is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and Niren Bhatt is the screenplay writer. It stars Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Sathyaraj and Mona Singh in pivotal roles. The film is said to be based on a Maharatrian belief. Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik have produced the film under the Maddock Films banner. The film can be streamed online on Disney Plus Hotstar.
Phoonk:
Made under the direction of Ram Gopal Varma, the horror-supernatural Phoonk delves into the world of witchcraft, taking inspiration from true events. It revolves around a family, which had to pay a terrible price for their inaction. The cast of the film includes Sudeep, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ahsaas Channa, Kenny Desai, Ashwini Kalsekar and Zakir Hussain. Milind Gadagkar wrote the story while it is produced by Praveen Nischol Nischol, Azam Khan and Parvez Damania. The film can be found on YouTube.
