Zakir Khan is currently dominating the headlines with his brand new show called Aapka Apna Zakir airing on Sony Entertainment Television at 09:30 PM. Stree 2’s cast, starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and others attended the second episode of the show for their film’s promotion. A promo of this show has surfaced on Instagram, where Shraddha asks him whether she should purchase her own house or live with her parents. On this, the 36-year-old comedian said, “Kuch to hain jo ghar ka aangan de nahi paata. yuh hi koi safar mein nahin hota. Hindustan mein jo log ghar chorhte hain vo zaroorton ki majboorion mein chorhte hain. (There is nothing you cannot have in a house. In India, the people who leave their homes, do it out of compulsion.” Zakir added that after staying away from home for so many years, he realised that his friends who stayed at their houses were the real winners. The comedian told Shraddha that till the time her parents hadn’t persuaded her to move out of their house, she should remain with them. The Stree 2 actress said that this is her plan as well. The guests present at the show started clapping after listening to these words.
Social media users appreciated the comedian’s views and dropped heart emoticons in the comment section.
Aapka Apna Zakir has occupied the slot for the popular The Kapil Sharma Show on the channel. Now, comparisons are being drawn between the two programs directed by the two prominent comedians in the industry. However, Zakir has refuted any similarities between his and Kapil Sharma’s show.
During an interview with TV9, he was asked about the similarities that will be pointed out that his show has replaced Kapil Sharma’s long-running TV special. The comedian stated, “I am not ok with the comparisons. He is a very big artiste, how can I compete with him.” He added, “Kapil is a pioneer of our work. When his shows became extremely successful, I benefited while sitting in Delhi as a small-time comedian.” Zakir added that he benefited even later when he moved to Mumbai. According to him, in art form, even if one person does his job well, it benefits everyone.
