Actor Vineeth Sreenivasan is venturing into various fields like singing, directing, and screenwriting. He carved a niche for himself in the Malayalam film industry. Vineeth Sreenivasan never misses an opportunity to sing a song for a film. Recently, he has sung the song Oodhu Peyyum Oru from the film Gangs of Sukumarakurup, along with another popular singer in Malayalam cinema, Afsal. The music is composed by Mejo Joseph, while the lyrics are penned by B K Harinarayanan. The recording engineer for the song is Sai Prakash. The additional programming has been done by Vijay Anand, while the rhythm programmer is Ajmal Hasbulla.
Places like Idukki, Aluva, Kozhikode, and Thrissur have already been the subject of songs in Malayalam cinema, but Chavakkad is featured for the first time in this song. Gangs of Sukumarakurup is directed by Shebi Chowghat, who is known for his films Nalpathiyonnu, Bobby and Kakkipada. It stars Rushin Shaji Kailas, Abusalim, Johny Antony, Tini Tom, Surya Krish, Sreejith Ravi, Sujith Shankar, and others. The music for the film is composed by Mejo Joseph.
The film is produced by Prajeev Sathyavarthan, under the banner of Prajeevam Movies. The cinematography is handled by Rajeesh Raman and edited by Sujith Sahadev. It is scheduled to hit theatres on September 13 on the occasion of Onam. The shooting of the film was reportedly completed in March in Thiruvananthapuram and nearby areas. It is the first film where Prajeev Sathyavrathan and Shebi Chaughat team up.
Earlier, the makers also unveiled the first-look poster for the film. It presented a visual narrative by featuring Dulquer Salmaan’s face on a wanted poster. The poster for the film was shared by Shaji Kailas on his Instagram account. It is a biographical crime thriller based on the fugitive Sukumara Kurup.
