Aditya Roy Kapur's second web series is a Raj and DK venture, titled Rakhtabeej.

Aditya Roy Kapur has been roped in for Raj and DK’s next web series, as per reports. The web series is tentatively titled Rakhtabeej and will also feature Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead. As per reports, the show will fall into the action genre. This marks Aditya’s second venture into the OTT world after The Night Manager.

A source told Mid-Day, “It was only in May that he (Aditya) gave his nod to the project. Soon after, the makers brought Samantha on board. Since the show heavily relies on action, the two actors have begun their individual prep. They will do joint training sessions soon.”

The report claims that the director duo is currently busy shooting the third season of Family Man. After this, they plan to take Rakhtabeej on floors by August this year. However, the director duo are yet to confirm these reports.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a frequent collaborator for Raj and DK. She was first seen in Raj and DK’s Family Man and will now headline Citadel: Honey Bunny with Varun Dhawan. The upcoming Indian spy action thriller TV series and spin-off of the American TV series Citadel will be streaming on Prime Video soon.

Citadel: Honey Bunny boasts of a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the ’90s. Honey Bunny is the Indian series within the Citadel universe.

Apart from Varun and Samantha, it stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles.

Speaking of being a part of the series, Samantha said at an event, “I never would have imagined that I would do action. But today, for me, being at this event is already such a victory for me, because at the last moment I didn’t really think I could do it. I didn’t think I would be a part of Citadel. I’m extremely grateful to Raj, DK, Sita and Amazon for really coming to my rescue. I just had to prep physically. I am just so incredibly proud already that this is the way it is, this is the way it looks. I can’t believe – this is how it looks.”

Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur will next be seen in Metro In Dino, which will be a standalone sequel of Life in a Metro. Aditya will be paired with Sara Ali Khan.
